Hello all.
Just to start off I’m new to this discussion board and I did try and search on this topic but I did not massage it correctly to get my answer. I’m not an Auto cad user and I’m new to supporting AutoCAD. I have two users that are having the same problem when using raster with Autocad2010. This is the errors that are receiving when they try and use raster. Raster is set to start when AutoCAD starts.
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Raster Design 2010\AeciUi51.arx cannot find a dll
I know there is more information that is needed so here goes with some basics.
OS XP PRO 32 bit
AutoCAD 2010 Stand alone with SP 3.2
Raster 2010 with hot fix form January
here are the eorors
Fatal error : unhandled access violation reading at 0x000c Exception 563c729ch
This error is what I get when I click on the ‘snap’ tab on the ‘Image’ ribbon
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Raster Design 2010\AeciUi51.arx cannot find a dll
When I click on the Raster icon to start up the program this is the error I get. The ‘Aecib51.arx’ file referenced above is very similar to the file trying to find the .dll file when you would click on anything in on the ‘Image’ tab. Here is the error message I am talking about:
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Raster Design 2010\AeciUi51.arx cannot find a dll or
other file that it needs.
So far the ‘Snap’ button on the ‘Image’ tab is the only one that causes a fatal error. The rest give me the above error message too.
I’ve experienced the blank button on the ribbon thing before with Civil 3D. It was the ‘Add Tables’ button on the ‘Annotate’ ribbon. That one was intermittent and did not cause a fatal error or stop you from accessing it through different channels

Use this solution to configure AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 for side-by-side use with a previous release (2009, 2008, or 2007). If you do not have AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 installed side-by-side with a previous release use the information in the solution to make sure all required Support File Search Paths are set in AutoCAD.
I ran the Hot fix and it still fails . I'll creat a new profile for the user and let you know what happens. Thanks again.
