How to increase Image memory

Hello everyone,

I use Raster Design 2006 and , for some reason, I cannot increase the memory pass 50MG. I have plenty of memory left but the program does not allow me to go beyond that number (50).
Is there a way to do it and if so, how?

Thanks a million!!!

In the Options dialog, there is a memory setting.

It has a calculation so that you don't assign too much memory and
cause problems.

Unfortunately, you have an older version that might not know about
memory >1GB.

Phil,

I have 4Gb of RAM, and also have 1Tb HD with a temp folder that has a 4GB pagefile allocated for AutoCAD Raster Design to utilize. However, on the Image Options "memory" tab - AutoCAD only shows 2048 Mb - and does not allow me to set the memory above 50 Mb. When I had Raster Design 3 for AutoCAD 2002, I was allowed to set the memory at 2Gb. Why won't AutoCAD Raster Design 2006 allow me to set the memory under Image Options higher than 50 Mb?

I think it's in the readme or help file somewhere:
The default setting is the optimal memory setting. It automatically
calculates how much memory is available and how much to use.
The memory setting is really only for limiting the amount of memory
used. It cannot now be increased over the optimal setting (as opposed
to older versions where that setting was actually used to increase the
memory usage).
