I am using AutoDesk 2005 and Raster Design 2005 to perform the following operation:
Merge 2 TIFF images. 1 = 0.5 meter resolution image that completely overlays the 2nd image. The seconf image 2 = 1.0 meter resolution image. The end product is intended to be a single merged TIFF of the entire area, but resampled to have a resolution of 0.5 meters.
The originating TIFF file image sizes are relatively large. 1 = 927 MB and 2 = 552 MB.
I have been able to export a single merged TIFF from these two TIFF imagtes, but the problem I am encountering is that neither ESRI or AutoCAD can open them in the end. I think there is something else going on that is preventing those programs from realizing that it is a TIFF image.
What can i do to export/save the merged AutoCad Tiff with a TFW file so that it is compatible with ESRI and AutoCAD?
