Unable to open dwg. saved to a CD

I am currently using Autocad13 with Windows Vista. As far as compatability goes I would say 85% ok.
I previously saved some drawings to a CD, now they will not open. I receive a message,

"To access files in read only directory, you must configure a temp. file location other than drawing"

I do not understand the open temp. file location.

The drawing was originally saved as a Autocad drawing.

Can someone help.

Copy the drawing file from the CD and save it onto
your local hard drive.  Then open teh drawing from your local hard
drive.

Thanks for the info. I copied it to My Document, then opened it from there.
All is well

Using a USB flash drive, I copied a AutoCAD 13 drawing from my old Dell computer (windows). When I copied it to my Hp computer (with windows Vista) also using same autocad13 program I was able to get the drawing but I lost my tool bar on the transfer. Note- The reason I used the USB flash, was that the CD and DVD does not work on the old Dell. No options for me when coping. Same results for other drawings. I also transfered the drawing to documents and my hard drive but that also did not work. Can you help me.APF
