I was finally able to successfully install AutoCAD R14 to run on my Vista Home Premium PC, thanks to suggestions in a couple forums to use a modified sh31w32.dll (etc.) I seem to have one last problem, though. I have an HP Deskjet F4180 All-In-One inkjet printer, installed as the system default printer, that doesn't seem to want to print my drawings. R14 creates a print file that just sits idle in the print queu - it won't let me cancel or restart the print job - but there are no error messages. I have attempted to start/stop the print spooler, but to no avail. Below is a screen capture showing the printer configuration that R14 seems to recognize. I'm just guessing, but is it possible that there might be a handshake problem between R14 and the print spooler, or a problem that the printer drivers (or the R14 drivers) don't properly recognize the R14 print file!? Would appreciate any and all comments on what might fix this?
