How to insert files of hatch ?

I downloaded from the web file of hatch ( .pat ), and i put it
in: acad r14/support -but the autocad can`t see it . WHY ??

Make a backup copy of ACAD.PAT (just in case!). Then open it and cut and
paste the contents of the new .pat file into acad.pat. This will make the
new pattern available to the hatch and bhatch commands. If you want to
see a sample of the hatch in the Bhatch Dialog, you'll need to add an
appropriate slide to the ACAD.SLB file.

The entire process is documented in detail, using tools you already
have, in the Procedures section of http://www.dotsoft.com. Look for
'Adding Hatches'.

Maybe you need to append that file to ACAD.PAT...
