Error in APPID Table on line 404 when opening a .DXF

We cannot import a .dxf file into Autocad R14. We use Windows 98SE. We do File>Open, click on the file with extension .dxf and the error shown in the subject line comes up. Then it says "Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded." The DXF file is generated from electronics s/w Protel 98SE.

Sounds like you need to take this problem up with the makers of "electronics s/w Protel 98SE".
