We stick with the above points, need not to add more, as all the important features requested from all of us in 2015 are well captured and added by Yury nicely. If all the above comes then Plant 3d will rock.

just from the top of my head:

- structure - possibility to create spiral stairs and railings;

- no screwing up a 3D model when far from 0 ( if you put your plant on real coordinates , which is more probably far from 0 point, just because not much pf plants are build close to equator , your model most probably will be corrupted);

- more or less real shapes for conveyors more types of pumps - basically, to increase 3D equipment library ;

- add some shapes to library;

i will add some stuff later

28. Layer modifications prior to ortho cut.  This needs to happen Autodesk.  We have been asking for this feature since Plant3D's inception.  Please.

29. After adding a new part, for instance, a weldolet, to a spec, the ability to "shift" click and highlight multiple sizes in the edit parts dialogue box to uncheck from spec.  So time consuming to click every single box to eliminate from spec.  Some parts have over a 100 some sizes.  Very time consuming.  This should be an easy thing to implement. Please, us spec makers would love this.

30. Some of the images in the catalog editor are hard to distinguish what the dimensions are pointing too.  An update to the images would be nice.

31. Some kind of auto spacing for pipes in the model would be nice.  Say you have numerous pipes along a rack.  Being able to highlight all of them and specify a spacing would be wonderful.

32.Ability to switch pipe supports with a drop down arrow like other parts.  If I have many pipe shoes on a pipe and decide to change the shoe style, I have to delete old and replace with all new, should be able to just toggle through different styles.

33. "One click" 3D element sets.  For drains, it'd be nice to have a sockolet+pipe nipple+SWxFPT Valve+FPT plug setup/template that could be placed all together.

34. Ability to change T.O.P/C.O.P/B.O.P. (T.O.I./B.O.I) of selected pipe in properties palette.  The properties are there on the palette but not editable.  If we could select pipe, and edit in palette, that would be nice.  Sometimes the little "elevation" arrow in the working area is difficult to use.  Depending on your zoom level, sometimes they are out of range or stacked upon each other.

35. Show insulation as a separate entity on separate layer.  It'd be nice to be able to make insulation layer transparent for Navisworks.

36. Consolidate locations of Iso settings.  Too many places settings where settings can be made.

37. Ability to choose ISO start point and flow direction.  Leaving it up to the software's iso engine does not always create great results.

38. Can't seem to get ISOs to put the BOM/"table" on the "Table" layer built into the template.  Always comes out on layer "0"

39. More equipment templates

40. More valve actuator types

41. Easier valve operator assignment in specs

42. Drag & drop files from Project manager palette into open models that are part of the project for xref'ing.  This ability is in ACAD Arch & MEP using Project Navigator.

43. Built-in pipe routing over point cloud similar tools to Kubit software.  Would be a killer feature along with ReCap.

44. Process Conveying/duct work lines, symbols, tags, equipment, etc. for P&ID routing.  Process pipes are not the only things that make up industrial plants. Creating custom entities for all this is too time consuming.

45. Process Conveying/duct work & cable trays for modeling.  Maybe a new workspace?  Industrial plants are made up of way more than just pipes and steel.  The inclusion of Revit structure/structural detailing shows that other disciplines are needed in this Plant design suite.  Currently we need to purchase another suite to get AutoCad MEP for doing rectangular and round ductwork and cable trays.

One tip -

There's very little chance that we will be able to respond to a list of 45 wishes. What would be helpful to me is to have the 3-4 highest priority items.

any way to set up a poll so we can vote on the top 4? would be much more efficient than posting on the forum to get a consensus.

Hi Peter,

All of this wishes have high priority. I think that development team can select more easy and cheaper wishes for implement it in next release.

We can to create the poll in google forms. Let´s go to do it for example  after 31 of may. This will be the last day for say wishes. And after this day will do the poll.

Verry happy that now Product development openly interacting with customers. This will improve our product soon.

As like Ybogdanov said, we can open this topic till 31st May.

In Poll, I can vote even for 20 times, so how we can ensure, 1 person is for 1 time poll.

If we ensure we can do, otherwise we write seperate email to Peter, mentioning the priority in topic no. wise, not description. Let Peter consolidate that.

Also, I request Peter to consider Minimum 7 to 8 instead top 4.

I think that Autodesk should be ashamed for this kind of answer. You are one of the biggest software house in the world and you tell us that in 1 year you can fix at max 3 or 4 little error. -.-'

Don't lie to us, we all know that if Autodesk really want to can fix most (and even more) all this error.

I take it you don't have much software development or management experience?

Please remember that while AutoDesk *is* quite large, they also produce a large number of products.  Only a small portion of availabe resources goes towards Plant3D.  And features aren't implemented in a single year from conception to roll-out, but are planned and outlined several years in advance.  Somewhere there is a development road map with timeslines, available resources, and required resources, which is used to assist what is to be worked on.

I also encourage all to be realistic with their wishes.  A civil design tool is unlikely to happen since Map3D, Civil3D, and some third-party tools are already available, plus the procedures for such aren't in the same design field as those who are focused mainly on implementing pipework.

I'm not using in trolling around the forum so after this post I stop because it is not productive discussion.

But I want to clarify a point. We all know (and Autodesk know) that we are chained to autodesk product because even with theire BIG limitation they  are the best software for technical design.

I'm not willing to keep silent around the GREAT omission of the Autodesk team regard what thire users ask just because we are obblied to use it's softwares.

One example for all: 3d actuator cannot be rotated and they work really bad in the catalog editor (if you select metric they don't work, they don't appear in the spec so they cannot be deleted from it and in some way they corrupt everything they come in contact with). I have scripted my own actuator and I add a "rotation parameter", 5 min. work. Why Autodesk in 3 years doesn't do it anymore? (this is just an example but I can write hundred of this)

Said that, continue suggest something useful.

- Improve component spec update from catalog.

(at the moment only the first port is updated while the other take the definition that there are when the component is added to spec and you cannot change it anymore except removing and inserting again the component from the catalog but in this way the component insert in Plant 3D will not be recognized anymore as the one in the spec)

- export full data of the catalog

(connected to the first problem. When you export the data from catalog or spec it only export the first port definition)

- add a way to batch substitute a group of component

(at the moment you have to substitute one by one and in case of big changes in plant design could means substitute 10s or 100s of component manually)

- I think that highest priority and very simply one is to be able to show line head and tail and also tp be able to reorder the line. Now isometric won't come as this head on page 1 and so on. If you make changes to the line and won't make pipe in right order section in middle can be in last page. Also flow arrows could come automatically. Now it's pain in the **** to put every arrow separatly.

This is also what our customers wan't.

Also some precision could come to autorouting. If the line is 0.0000000001mm of from connection point it won't do the line.

Something should also do for sloped lines. Now modifying those lines are pain in the ****. You cant autoroute anything or connect because presission is 0.0000000001mm.

Also being able to make separete revision for different isometric sheets. now we have to make those by hand and when there is 1000 sheets off revision that ain't good.

This because when you only make revision to one sheet wich have changed, you don't have to make new tracing and welding plan etc. Thats why it would be important to show head and tail off pipe so to isometric would be always samekind as the first published one.
