Hi,
I am running P3D 2014 and I recently downloaded the Vic_V2.0 Catalog from the Autodesk website. Within the catalog there is a spec for Victaulic IPS pipe and fittings. I loaded this spec into my project and started drawing pipe. The problem is the couplings to join the grooved end piping do not show up in the spec which renders it useless. The couplings show up fine in the spec editor. What must I do to fix this?
I've added screen shots to show the exact same spec in Spec Editor and in Plant 3D.
Any help here would be much appreciated. Thank You.
Alex
From what I can tell, your description sounds like how that Victaulic content pack works. Those clamps work like fasteners –auto connections similar to bolt sets. So it may be you’re after a different content pack. Perhaps need some custom parts in your catalog/spec. I did find that those clamps can be exploded and then they’re accessible to move, copy, etc.
Product feedback and suggestions can be made on this online form: Product Feedback
Also, the readme document for that content pack gives an email address where questions can be directed to as well.

Do you have the clamp added to the spec from the Vic catalog? This will be the only way that plant will allow it to be placed. Coupling some times refers to a connection to the pipe not a fastener. Also, if you have not done so, you need to add a simple joint and specify that it places a clamp to join the grooved(GRV) connections together. Usually you only need to have matching Nominal Diameter properties matching.
