Vent/Drain/Instruments on Isos

How do I get the olets and associated piping/valves to register as drain/vent piping? 

While most nipples and valves are showing up correctly, I can't get the o-let to consistently be small bore piping.  This results in a bunch of olets showing up on the isometrics at full size but the connected nipple and valve to be at small bore scale.

The isoconfig.xml file contains a filter named SmallBorePiping that defines which items are acted upon by the small bore iso theme (which among other things scales the symbols by 50%). Out of the box this filter only looks at the size of the first port so a 3x1 olet will be filtered out. You will need to modify this filter or better yet create a new one to include the olets and assign the filter to the theme. One way would be to add the size property to your iso.atr file and include olets with specific sizes into your small bore filter.

I am muddling my way through the XML but my understanding is very rudimentary.  Is there a way to add to the XML a filter that looks at Status field and then add a Drain/Vent to the status pull down list?
