Trouble with Flanges

I have created a new flange.

When i route pipework, the gasket and bolt set come in fine, but the valve does not show. (see attachement 'PIPEWORK').

When I then manually insert the flange into the line, I get 3 flanges with the gasket and bolt set in the wrong place. (see attachment 'FLANGE').

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

ive somehow manages to fix the flange problem. However, my gasket and bolt set are not inbetween the 2 flanges (see attachement).

any idea how to move the gasket and bolt set to inbetween the 2 flanges?

Did you draw the 2 mating flanges as one? And did you modify the Flanged joint connection setting?

Hi,

I did have the 2 flanges modelled as 1, but I have now changed that to just 1 flange (see attached image).

The connection settings in the catalogue editor are -

Port 1 - BV

Port 2 - FL

I havent touched the connection settings for the compound joint in the project setup as I havnt got a clue what to do with it and didnt want to mess it up.

Any ideas how I can add the mating flange automatically?

You're almost there. Now you only need to connect the pipe to a flanged elbow.
