While recreating my sch 40 and PVCu specs and rebuilding catalogs ( hopefully properly this time ) I found a problem.
I am creating a component - flush bushing - it has 2 ports of different sizes ( this issue only comes up with different port sizes )
the S1 port works great
type in a number
enter
type in a number
enter
etc etc.
S2 port does NOT work this way.
click
click
type in a number
enter
click
type in a number
etc
S1 I can click a cell and type
S2 I have to double click a cell to type.
for 52 fittings, this is not enjoyable.
and when I start doing reduction tee's that has 3 orts....
It looks like the tab order needs to be changed on the form. You should be able to type in a value and then press the TAB key (or Enter key) to move down to the next field. I will submit this to the development team.
Thank you,
I just reopened it and tried hitting tab, it moves it horizontally not vertically.
enter does bring it down a level, but does not let you type in a new number, I have to click first.
Have you tried the new Catalog Builder that comes with Plant 3D 2013? It's a much easier way to create catalogs:
Yeah working with excel is much easier, but the catalog builder seems to think "No Excel installation was found"
while I use excel on a daily basis.
I attempted to put a few fittings into it then export it to excel.
when I attempt to open it, excel has to repair it.
when I attempt to create a catalog i get the error "No Excel installation was found"
then I get a hanging window "validateing" that does not want to go away.
