I am building a Poly spec and having troubles with using two types of stub ends in my spec.
I have a stub end for flanged pipe connection (pipe - stub end - backing ring - gasket - backing ring - stub end - pipe) that works fine.
Now I have added a shouldered end for a shouldered end coupling connection (pipe - stub end - coupling - stub end - pipe)
To do this I have added a new 'end code' - SCPL and used that end code for port 1 of the stub end (shouldered end)
This is also the end code for each port on the coupling.
The new piping connection is as follows -
end 1 - PL, SCPL
end 2 - SCPL
fasteners - Stub End
Req'd match - Nom. DIA
This connection works fine and brings in the shouldered ends fine when inserting the coupling, but when I have both stub ends in the spec, plant3d fails to tell the difference between the shouldered connection and stub end connection.
The screenshots show the successful flanged connection with a failed coupling connection and vise versa.
What am I missing here?
Thanks
