Is there a way to filter the 3dparts report to list items by the pipe spec?  Out of the box gives a total listing of all components.  It would be nice to break it down the materials by spec.

If you edit the query and modify the sort order on the spec field, you can sort A-Z on the class names:

This did not get me what I was looking for, but it did get me to look closer at the report layout.  I added a cell called Spec as a heading and added a cell to pull the spec information from the database.  I attached an image.  This is getting me closer to what I'm looking for.  Thanks for the help.

You're welcome. We're certainly glad to help.

I do have one other resouce which might be of use. There is a complete 255 page manual for the Report Designer located at this link below:

Report Designer Guide

It is also available in the local help folder of the installed path for Plant 3D 2012:

C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 - English\Help\report_designer.pdf

Thank you,

Hi Milic,

The report query configuration allows for filtering in specific fields. You should be able to setup a wildcard filter using LIKE to look for a pattern:

Ok...

You are right about query: PIPE, because a pipe have TAG field, but if I wish to have...

e.g all ELBOW from same spec, e.g AAF3, and from pipe lines that have a part of name

2-DFG-2456-NEW12-AAF3

10-ADF-2456-NEW134-AAFZ

I will use

query:  ELBOW

filter

spec =AAFZ

and... what I will use for pipe tag, if I wish to extract ELBOWS only from NEW lines

and not from every line

Cheers

Milic

Another question is

Why I can not put drawing numbers in line list if I take Query from P3DlineGroup

Is it close to P&D Drawing numbers, or to Plant3D drawing numbers...

For e.g. I wish to see "line number" "drawing number" (exact place where is that line design)
