Report creator: is there a way to combine data from different classes

Hi,

Is there a way to combine data from different classes to single report? I´ve read through the 255 page manual and closest thing I' ve seen is "master-detail report" however that´s not helping because report creator does data binding automatically.

For example I' ve set up data acquisition between motors and pumps(with help of mechanical link) so that they know which equipment they are connected(tag). I'd like to create pump list that also has some data from it´s connected motor ie. motors power etc. without creating tons of new acquisitions.

Also is there a way to make export/import settings so that you can export multiple classes to single spreadsheet? I' ve followed your tutorial from 2008 "Managing and Sharing AutoCAD PID Data and Reports" but it gives error message when you try to combine classes with same UIDs.

AFAIK, acquisitions will have to be your friend.  We have an article on our site for Equipment nozzles which uses a similar idea.

Basically, you can use grouping to gather information together by common fields.

I think you could use that approach for your pump list.
