Redefine inserted objects

Hello,

all objects of Plant3D are blocks of AutoCAD, and when we go to insert one from spec file automatically appear new block. In the midle of one project we want to change the geometry of valves for example. I enter in one of the files and go to edit the block of each valve, inserting the new form in block editor. Is possible after change one block in first dwg model to sync this block of the same object of the second dwg model?

Another question, is posible to redefine the connection points of the inserted objects? Because in the block editor is posible change only geometry, but connection points remain the same...

 Thanks

P.S. I hope that the Autodesk team work in improve the spec sync, because the actual command don't serve for anything...

The typical workflow would be to update the valve geometry inside catalog editor (replace block) and then use synchronize spec with catalog and finally a spec update on the project. As long as the ports haven’t changed everything should stay connected in the model.

On this question below, are you asking if it's possible to use block editor to modify the connection points (ports) of an existing block for a custom catalog part?

It is imposible to update object from spec, because this option only work first time and only in one 3D file. If we have many files of 3D the valves is don't updating, because after update in one, the program sais that the spec is alredy updated.
Another problem of spec update is cases when the length of elements modificated, and when update (in only one 3D file) elements are disconnecting from the pipes or flanges.
