Hi !
Is it possible to convert isogen pcf file in 3D autocad file ?
Thi to be able to import 3D routing of a pipe in P3D 2011 ?
Thanks
Jim,
Can you elaborate a bit more about your request?
Are you looking to use a AutoCAD Plant3D 2011 model (dwg file) in AutoCAD Plant3D 2012? If so, that should be possible.
I am not sure if you are asking for it but we currently do not support the conversion of a pcf file to a Plant3D model file. And there are no plans to do that in the near future.
Thanks.
Ratti.
Jim,
AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 is not yet released.
But I am not sure whether I answered your question yet or not.
Thanks.
Ratti.
Jim,
It sounds like you are looking for the ability to import a PCF file. Is that correct? Plant 3D does not have that capability right now. I want to try and understand how this import fits in your current work process. Can you share some additional information? If you prefer to do so via email, please contact me at pat dot j at autodesk.com.
Thanks.
Hi,
Yes, in pcf file from stress analysis there are xyz 3D coordinates, stresse tensors and support type & degrees of freedom ....
The ideal process would be
1/ basic design in P3D of the line
2/ export to stress analysis soft (CAESAR) for support design of the line
3/ re import results from analysis into P3D for final design
The idea is to be able to import in P3D this informations (new fields to be created in database)
Thanks
