Re-assign tag number format to existing items?

Is it possible to re-assign (or assign a new) tag number format to existing lines in a piping model? i.e. currently tag is set up to show only the service & number, in hind sight it should be service-number-nominal size-nominal spec, or will this change only apply to newly drawn lines?

For 3D piping (not P&ID), you can change your Line Number Tag mid-project and all newly routed lines will prompt you for the new tag format/info.

And after you've routed at least one new pipe (even if just temporarily), that new Line Number will be available to assign to existing lines. So then to apply it to existing lines, you need to select those lines, along with all their attached components, and change the Line Number Tag in the Properties pull-down.

But if you already have numerous pipe lines, this could be time-consuming. But it's doable.
