"Connect Component To Adjacent" Adds Pipe Support

Anyone have any idea why this would happen? If I have a component that needs connected to a nozzle and I right-click on the component and select "Connect Component To Adjacent" then pick the nozzle I want to connect it to, it inserts a pipe support and doesn't connect the comonent to the nozzle. I have no idea how the two are even related so I can't figure out why it's doing this.

I get this quite often as well, but not everytime.  For me, it seems to only happen when one of the models is xref'd.  If I reload the xref, it seems to update the image.

I would like to know the reason as well.  I'm on 2014 ext2.

With the valve you are connecting to the nozzle. Is there a reason why the valve should not connect anyways when you place them together using node placement?

I am not sure about the support being placed though. Is this something that you can easily recreate?

If I am missing something let me know.

If I disconnect the gasket and blind flange on the other side I can get it to connect using node plecement, and that's what I ended up doing. Sometimes things just disconnect though and it's easier to just right-click, Connect To Adjacent. This happens on other peoples machines too.

This is something that seems to randomly happen on certain connections. I don't know where else this is occuring but I'm sure I could track one down if I had to.
