PVC Flush bushing issues with ISOMETRICS solved

Finally figured out how to deal with flush bushings for SCH 40 PVC, and how they work with ISOMETRIC drawings.

I modeled up to spec flush bushings - in the spec editor I was using custom blocks. the issue was that they broke ISO drawings since there is a "negative" pipe length. eg. 4" x 2" flush bushing there is a 4" PPL then a 2" PSW the 2" starts inside the 4" PPL this is what broke the ISO So going back to parametric modeling

eg 4" to 2" flush bushing

D1 4.5

D2 0

L 0.469

OF -1

L1 -2 ( This should be 1.031if it is modeled )

L2 1.875

I2 1.875

When I finally realized I had to make L1 = -2 it worked. I still cannot place a flush bushing inside a flush bushing, but I just modify the description to state there are two fittings to get the desired reduction. I am trying to get away from custom blocks since the sch 40 catalog is missing a vast majority of the parts I use. This was preventing me from using ISO drawings. now I have to figure them out.

Yes I am a little excited.

Hello John,

If possible, would you be willing to post a couple example PCFs that contain the bushings that you're referring to? Every time I try to create an iso with a bushing anywhere between 2 other objects, I get an error. I've tried almost every type of end connection and Skey that I can think of, including customs, to no great success.

I've included the error log and the pcf below. Any input you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly havn't done anything with isometric drawingssince that post.  I gave up trying to get them to work.  luckly they are not important to what we do.

simple piping for aquaculture projects.
