Purge / Recover / Audit

Hi All,

Can anyone provide some input about whether it is a good idea to purge or recover a Plant 3D drawing or not ? I have had problems after recovering a drawing ie. loosing inteligence but have not actually seen any benefits doing so. ?
Also whenever a pipe is created, a ****_Fstener layer is created, this layer is empty and can be deleted, what is the use for it? would it be a problem to delete the ****_Fastener layers ?

Regards

Recover is a not a good idea since auto save is not able to save component information to the project database. So all the components added after the last manual save becomes dumb graphics when recovered. Similarly deleted items after the last manual save, only graphics are gone and project data for them will still remain.
The LineNumber_Fastner layer is supposedly for holding the fastener graphics such as bolts and gaskets, but I see that currently these are in the same layer as lines. At this point I would not purge anything until I hear otherwise from other experts.
Thanks, Siva (Autodesk)

The connector entities are not on the fastener
layer. However, when the sub-entities are drawn they inherit properties from the
LineNumber_Fastener layer.

I have a defect in my queue that the layer is
purgable and it should not be. Will be addressed in a future version. Is there
any feedback as to whether it is preferred to have the connector entities on a
separate layer or the same layer as the rest of the pipe line? The idea was to
keep them on the same layer but have control over color, visibility,
etc.

Thanks,

Jorge
