Problems with isos dimensions settings

Hello,

I'm trying to create isos from the 3D file, and having problems with dimensions settings. I tried a lot of combination in the settings, choosing "End to end" or "String" or "Locating"  and the result is quite almost the same. For example, on a line composed only by two valves and pipe I changed settings a lot of time, but Plant always produces only string dimensions on valves and pipe. Any one have suggestions?????

Thanks

It would be helpful if you uploaded a screenshot of the the isometric marked up as you would like to see it. This way it can be tested and communicated back to you.

Your bypass is not following the default theme - it is likely using the branch theme. Also, your screenshot doesn't show a locating dim for supports.

As Issam12 said, you have to check all desired dimension types at the top (end-to-end type, string type and locating typee). Also do all checks in the table below as Issam12 has shown you. Additionally you have to check the string type for Inline branches because from your pdf you mentioned that you still want to have those dimensions in your isometrics. Please, let us know if this works for you. Regards Bernd

I tried that dimensions settings, but it doesn't work yet. I keep on trying a lot of different settings combination but the result is still the same. Maybe the problem is caused by a more general setting?? Thank You again

Are you certain that you are creating the Iso with the same style that you are editing?

The locating dimension on support doesn't want to appear at all!!!!!!!!!!

At this point it might be best to .zip up your iso style folder along with a small drawing. Someone here may be able to analyze it quicker that way.

You are only looking at 'default' dimension style. The top right of your clip which you attached to a previous comment, if you drop down that menu and look at the dimension styles for small bore pipe, existing etc etc.

Message 14 of 16

Hi Mauro, I have noted that you are using pipes with sizes of 50 and 20. By default all pipes which have sizes of 50 or less will be handled by the Small Bore Piping theme (see attached snapshot). So you have to switch from the Default theme to the Small Bore Piping theme on the top right of the frame in the configuration node 'Isometric DWG Settings - Dimensions'. Now you can do the changes as described above. Regards
