I've seen that there are others having issues with PLANTPARTCONVERT not creating the correct number of ports in 2014. I know that if I go into the xml file and change <portCnt>0</portCnt> to <portCnt>2</portCnt> I'll be able to add it to a spec. However, once in the spec and added to my model, there are still no nodes/connection points on the custom component. Anyone else experiencing this or know what to do? Any idea when Autodesk plans to fix this? Seems like this should be taken care of right away to me, this is a big/important feature...
Here's the current Knowledge Base article on that issue:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=22088428&linkID=14116967
And my understanding is that this is covered in the forthcoming service pack.

I've seen that and that part of it works just fine as a work around. However, once in the model, the part comes in without end connection nodes so it's unusable. Any idea when the forthcoming service pack is expected? We're at a crucial point in our project and crunch time is upon us. We really need to be able to add custom parts...

I've tried this too. I created a dwg in the project and created a test block that I turned into a part via PLANTPARTCONVERT. I then added this to a test catalog and a test spec. When I insert into the model, still no end connection nodes. I know this used to work and I've done this before, It's just not working in 2014 anymore. Anyone have any idea when the fix is coming from Autodesk?
