plant 3d 2014 isometrics drawing no proportional

Hi all,

i'v got a problem on proportionality of lines when creating isometric drawings. I attach a picture where you can see what I mean: two lines with the same length (259 mm) are drawn with different sizes (notice the lines marked in red bubbles).

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? is it a config problem?

thank you very much

Use stretch command to make a shorter one same length as the other one.

I am pretty sure he wants this to be automatic by the program. I would like to see that as well.

I'm afraid that this is the way the coding works. Isometric spool drawings are by definition non-scaled and non-proportional. I have never seen any auto-iso program whether it's IsoGEN or OpenPlant Isometrics Manager or AutoCAD Plant's iso routines that would behave as you expect. Quite often you will see runs that appear to be the sme length and one is dimensioned as 12" and the other is 45'-0". That is just the way they are programed to work.

Nature of the beast,

Thats one of the more extreme examples.  In most cases when there are branches of equal length it will draw them as equal as possible, where possible.

Its one of the biggest hurdles with isometric generation: getting checkers to accept that automatically generated drawings are going to be "bugly" compared to manually or semi-automatically drawn ones, and they should adjust their checking accordingly.
