Piping connected to Xref nozzle

I've noticed that if you have piping connected to a nozzle and both are in the same dwg, the piping will change sizes and update automatically when the nozzle size changes. However, if the nozzle size changes and it's on a piece of equipment that is in an Xref inside of the piping dwg, the piping wont update. Is there a way to get the piping to update automatically. I don't know if there is some setting that needs set on the Xref or what???

Propagation of changes does not cross drawing boundaries. Are you editing the XREF'ed DWG while having the host drawing also opened?
