Pipe spec properties change - reapply in the model

When I change a property of a pipe component (material, long description, etc.) of a pipe spec (with the spec editor) the property of the components what I already placed in the model does not change. I have to place the components again to get the new properties.

Is there a way to regenerate or reapply the new changed spec properties to the existing components in the model without replacing them?

The spec-update runs with a 2 hours intervall and on startup by default. To update manually or to edit settings, right click on the little paper with a "sync-wheel" on. See my attachment.

i have same kind problem, but I have updated the spec in Plant but it won't change all existing parts? I have looked from Data manager and there is still some old labels. Is onlu possibility to change them by hand in Excel?

I'm running into a similar issue. On one project it's not updating the long descriptions on our parts. Basically we modified the description on seamless pipe in the catalog. Ran "synchronize specs with catalog", then went into the project and manually started a spec update check. It said there were changes and we applied the updates, but nothing changed on the descriptions inside properties window for the model items.

But on a brand new test project, the update is working fine with long descriptions. Could this be an issue with existing projects created before Service Pack 1 or Hotfix 1
