When creating piping models the center node (generally red in color) on the pipe, fittings or flanges is not always present. Utilizing the dist command to determine a length from the center of pipe to a fitting, flange or valve the center node is not always present. This becomes difficult to join pipe to valves or fittings or visa versa when modeling complex piping systems with multiple pipelines and equipment throughout the model. It seems to take a little more time to connect pipe and fittings correctly (eliminate the water drop if you have that future turned on) then it did using 2011.
