P3D Catalog fitting that will not break the pipe into two pipes.

Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom part (puddle flange or sleeve) that can be put on a pipe but doesn't break the pipe into two separate pipes.

This would require the fitting to not have any nozzles.........i think !

I need the fitting to be connected to the pipe so it shows up on isometric drgs. so it cant just be a dumb block.

I have tried using sleeve - this breaks the pipeline in two

I have tried olet with 1 nozzle to connect to the main pipe - this works but there is still a leak.

I have tried other fittings but they require nozzles and this will either result in breaking the pipe or leaks.

Please see attached example of what im trying to achieve

If anyone knows how i can fix this problem it would be much appreciated.

Thanks Rowan.

From what i can tell from 5 minutes on Googe, they are really more like a pipe support than a piping fitting. Basing it on a pipe support will probably get you close.

Beside the model, think about how do you want them to appear on an iso and on a bill of material?
