P&ID and Othro issues

Hi,

anyone have same issues like these? Anyone knows how to fix?

P&ID:
Some times the valve doesn't acquire the line size or spec. this happened in my project for 3-4 valves, can't find the reasons, we end up have to redo it.
Some times, the line tag reads "no target", this happened to some of the line many times. Even we fixed it by recreated the tag, it would happened again.
Some times, the pipeline will become non-smart line by itself and we can't find why. End up have to re-do it.

Ortho:
This we just find out last week. When we cut through the perticular area, the hand wheel of the valve won't should properly. But if we regenerate the sections, it shows properly. But when we come back second day, when I print the drawings again, (publish) I will get a error messages (e.g. "there are 200 errors find in the drawings, do you want to run recover ..."), and the hand wheel is not showing properly again.

I have done Project audit, project compress, plant audit. But all these issues are not going away.

Hi Peggy,

Can you give some details?

P & ID :

1. A couple of Valve # for which you faced this issue.

2. Line no for which you had this issue (no target) and losing properties.

Ortho:

Can you give me the dwg no for which you had this issue?

I will look into the project which you gave.

Hi Venkat,

Please look at the response in red

P & ID :

1. A couple of Valve # for which you faced this issue. I can't be able to give you in perticular number. It appears to be ramdon. If you look at the data manager, you will find some of the item are in "overwrite mode". Which is a temperory way of fixing it. I would sy it would happen 5 out of 250 ish..

2. Line no for which you had this issue (no target) and losing properties. One particular example would be the drawing G6-41. There is 1 "no target" in the page. This case is the line become non-smart line or lose property by itself. But the valves are able to read the size and spec from it. In some other case we have got the pipeline doesn't lose itself property, but the tag reads "no target". I was suspected that it was line itself has been modified. But I have found it is not. Because we would have the pdf last weeks, for example, showed everything was according to what we want, and in the week after when we work on it, something would just go wrong.

Ortho:

Can you give me the dwg no for which you had this issue?

Drawing number are G6-50,51,52,70,71,72. The version I sent you was ok. But on this Monday, when I try to publish them from Plant 3D project manager, it tell me these file are have errors. But you print it one by one, there are fine. Once I receive the error messages, the ortho display would just go wrong.

Cheers,

Peggy
