Ortho View Scales

With the Sheet Set Manager, you can use dynamic blocks for labels, expecially the view number and scale.

Also you can easily use call out blocks, which automatically update the page and view numbers.

is there any workaround for adding this back in to P3D?  ( I have no idea why they disabled most of the fuctionality of the SSM in P3D )

I added a jpg of the two blocks I use.

Currently I have to update all of them manually.  the callout block is the difficult one, if I change the page number, I have to go back through out the entire document and double check each one - in a large project, well I just try to avoid using them.

with the view block - I have to manually enter the information each view.

Both of these scenarios were automated by the SSM.

So basically, is there any way to bring this back into P3D?

John.

SSM was designed for AutoCAD and does have limitations with some of the features and additional functionality of Plant 3D (as you’ve noted here and in past discussions).  I can see from your previous posts you’re an active SSM user. I’m not sure if I’m following 100% all your workflow and comments here, but product enhancements for P3D as well as SSM can be posted at this link:

And hopefully other discussion group community members can provide further comments or suggestions here for you.

Summation,

Is there any way to link a <field> to a viewport scale? with P3D or to link a call out to a page and view number?

Manually having to do this for a hundred page project is a very big time sink.
