Ortho Creation Pain P3d 2014

Ortho Creation, freezing layers in ortho cube view, the layers are still created in viewport using P3d 2014, apart from turning off the layer in the native xref file in ortho, is there another way to create orthos without freezing native file layers. It’s a constant juggle of opening models and freezing layers etc. to create orthos, slows down production, other people are effected by layer freeze etc.

Can people describe their workflow or solution around this?

Surly freezing the layers in the ortho cube view is an easy fix?? why have layers if you can freeze them.

Also, how do people hatch in ortho views? Say a solid wall etc, any trick to having solids hatch in ortho? it’s a slow task at present.
