Hi Bapan,

I believe Quentin has already answered you on this. Did you follow the same procedure as in this video,

https://chronicle.autodesk.com/Main/Details/991e51c8-2a32-40a4-a079-bec22bebb300

If so, can you send me your drawing for further review.

Vinod,

My question is not to convert BOP El. from mm to Meter. Problem is to represent El. in Meter upto three decimal place.

Have you tried under add annotation - unit target precision. It should provide you control on the decimal places you were looking to display. If not, you could try adding another attribute for unit under the BOP block and test.

Hope that helps.

Hi Vinod,

I have followed your above instruction but unable to control decimal place of Ortho anno Elevation in meter.

But the default BOP Class Property of Pipe Run Component, can control the decimal place that unit is in mm.

Please find the bellow link of test project for you checking the ortho annotation BOPINMETER and reply me.

Hi Bapan,

Sorry for the delay. Can you try to change the decimal places in the ortho-template via UNITS command and let me know whether it helps.

Yes, I have changed the decimal places in the ortho template but no change in BOP annotation.

If you clarify your query, please share how to achieve this. i have also same problem.

I need some querry also,

1. how to round up the elevation for example from EL 104.9999999 to EL105.000

2. how to generate flow arrow in ortho view

3. how to convert COP and FOF in mm into m

4. In piping ortho view show 15NB to 150NB double line but we need in ortho view for this sizes are single line only, how to generate.

Thanks,

Hi,

I don't think that it is possible to do what you are trying to achieve without writing custom code or using a third party app.

Drawing Units affect only the values that are displayed by AutoCAD, they do not affect the actual raw data that is stored in the drawing.  Hence, changing the precision will work for values that are saved in the base drawing units (mm or inches for Plant drawings) and recognised by AutoCAD as known graphical object properties. The calculated properties manager is accessing the raw, un-formatted data value directly and AutoCAD does not know to apply the drawing units to this value.  Unfortunately, there is no way to format the value through the calculated properties manager.

The block attribute in the ortho annotation, reads the value of the Plant property into the attribute Tag field only and treats it as a string - it cannot be accessed in an expression and so cannot be formatted in the block.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Andy
