Dear Users,
I am using the Plant design suite ultimate 2014. I have a plant 3D file containing some 3D solids and blocks containing 3D solids. I assigned a color by layer. When I create an ortho view I want to see each color. Plant 3D makes it sometimes all color A and sometimes color B.
Go to project setup
Ortho DWG Settings/Title Block and Display
Setup Title Block
Ortho Settings
there you can assign layers for the specific objects and linetypes.
Or you can check the Use 3D model layers.
I already checked the use 3d model color box. The hidden lines are still displayed in white.
Can you assign specific layers to a specific linetypes?
If you can than I dont know what the problem is.
When you create a new ortho drawing, you will create this on the base of a template file. This is by default <project folder>\Orthos\Styles\Default\Ortho - A1 -Color Dependent Plot Styles.dwt. Open this directly and open there the layer manager (command LAYER). The 3D parts will be saved on the layer MISC. You can select here a different color but note that it is not possible to use here the color 'ByLayer' or 'ByBlock'. So you have to define a color for each layer here. In this case let say you set the color for the layer MISC to red. Save the DWT-file. Afterwards for each new ortho-drawing your 3D models will be colored in red. For old ortho-drawings double-click into the viewport, use command layer and set there the colors.
