the spec was updated.

the updated descriptions can't be called out anymore in the model.

another lines were drawn and shows the descriptions are updated.

please instruct on how to call the spec link back to avoid a redraw.

Attached is the model with old and new test lines

Was anything else changed in the spec in addition to the descriptions?

And are you referring to the long descriptions?

after days, this message poped out and I get my spec updated for this drawing.

I did some migration of specs downloaded from Autodesk website because we need some tri-clamp connections.

It seems still too long for it to sort it out.

Thanks,

This delay in getting the ‘Spec Update Available’ notification may be due to your Spec Update Check settings. Perhaps Automatic checking is disabled and it’s only checking on Plant 3D startup.  Go to the application status bar and right-click on the Spec Update Check icon (Default location is bottom right of the screen). Click Settings. Make sure the Automatic check is selected and set your preferred timing (see attached image).

Another possibility could be that someone else made a change to the spec.

And you’ll want to be sure that spec changes are not made while they're ‘live’, while they’re being used on a project. Edit them in a ‘source’ location, like on your C: drive or another location where they are not accessed by the design team. After the edits are made, then copy them to the project and test any new components to see that they insert properly.

If this resolves your question, please check this as “Solved” so others can find the answer as well.

You are right.

The spec is revised at the working drive (D:) while the 3D model file is active.
