from one day to the other information is lost from pipes .. Image attached ...
to select a pipe, appears only a part of the information.
The only known solution is to uninstall AutoCAD Plant 3D and re-install
, is there any other solution faster
Do not reinstall Plant3D
I think that problem is not in installation, problem is in .dwg files that contain Yours model...
search this forum, You will find another posts with same problem...
I will try to find a link
Sorry my english
I do not think that is only dwg ... just missed the information from most of the pipes, only 2" THDM pipes retain the info. The rest of the elements also retain all their info (flanges, supports, valves, fittings, etc). I think it's a problem between the spec and the internal database. Thanks
Regards
Are you using SQLite ot SQLExpress?

Another thing to try is user profiles.
When this happens with the user, can another user on a differnt computer access the properties of the particular pipe?
If the other user has no problems, then this might be a user profile issue. Login as a different user and see if the problem still occurs. If you login and have no problems, then the user profile can be deleted and a new profile made for the user.

No, I am sorry I do not speak spanish. Unfortunately, Plant 3D and P&ID support is only avaliable in English at this time.

I use SQLite, the last time this happened to me, I had to uninstall P3D, as you indicated as your on the same machine but with different users, the problem did not happen, so at that time concluded that it was a user problem. but this time the problem occurred for all users on different machines
Some addtional questions:
1. Roughly how many designers were working on this project when the issue occurred?
2. What was the size of the project when you first noticed the issue? (Number of model drawings)
I have seen instances to where if users don’t save the drawing and then switch to another drawing they lose the intelligence of the components. You might want to verify this is not happening to you as well.

We meet bug like described in this post by panchozu. Some pipes and elbows in some drawings loose their intelligence.
Plant-3d 2013 64-bit SP1 (on every PC workstation), project bases is located on the SQL Server 2008 R2. We does not to use Vault, but plan to use it.
Today project has ~ 5700 records in project database EngineeringItems table,it also has 10 drawings, and 10 users are working - every in it's own drawing, most of them are working simultaneosely.
Does AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013 SP1 Data Integrity Hotfix will fix this bug and will help for us?

It is interesting,thanks...I will try to explain for users, that they need to save their drawings before switches.
May be there's some trick to restore loosing intelligence? Can I find some lost data somewhere in project database?
has there been any resolution to this? I just lost a bunch of intelligent data on one of my systems and luckily it wasn't too big. I am concerned that it might happen again and it might not be so simple to restore intelligent data-- especially when it is linked to a bunch or ortho drawings.
Would using SQL Express (as opposed to SQL lite) prevent this from happening?
thanks
This is unlikely to be a SQLite problem. It's possible, but I don't think so. What version are you guys running into this problem with? Do you have all the hotfixes applied?
I very much want to find and fix the underlying cause of this problem, though this kind of thing is extremely difficult to track down. Once the data is gone, it's hard to figure out what series of steps caused the problem.
If you have a way to reproduce the problem e.g. start with good data, do some work, and then the data is gone - please report it to product support. I wouldn't mind an email to peter.quinn@autodesk.com as well.
If you don't have repeatble steps but have some clue as to the what you did, that still might be valuable.
Happened to me as well. I was puzzled for quite sometime, but managed to reproduce the issue. My project files are saved to a folder on a cloud. When my computer goes to sleep mode and the project is open, it disconnects with the cloud folder. When I resume work, programme gives a pop-up balloon in right corner something in a context of "drawing specs have changed, click here to update specs" (i'm not sure if clicking or not clicking has any difference). After clicking it, file looses references and in project manager pipe specs does not show any specs. If you haven´t saved file just close it and open up again and everything is fine. But if you save, close and open the project again, in that case I don't know the solutions.
As a result of this I have turned of automatic sleep mode on my computer.
