iso start and end points

I am trying to reverse the start and end points on my isos and the option is not working. am I the only one having this problem or am I maybe doing something wrong. I am running an iso and the numbering is not in the direction of flow so I check this option and nothing happens when I create the iso again. It still comes out the same as did before. Someone please help because this could be a very useful tool if worked correctly.

Hi TBoo,

This command works as designed but maybe different that you have expected. If you check this option the opposite flow direction for the line will be assumed to reverse the sheet order . Be aware: the flow direction is not a property in the model. An arbitrary (but consistent) flow direction is assumed that you can reverse.

For example: You have a drawing from which you create an isometric drawing. Because of the size it will be splitted into two drawings. Without this option the name of the two drawings are abc-1.dwg and abc-2.dwg. Now you recreate a new isometric with the same model and now you check the option 'Reverse Iso start and end points'. The names of the two isometric drawings are the same but now abc-1.dwg is called abc-2.dwg and otherwise.

what you are suggesting is what we are trying to do. When we create the isos the numbers of the sheets remain the same as before we select the option. its not the flow that im looking for its the sheet numbering that i need to change.

On my side it works fine. Please, can you send me a drawing example. So I can look for it. With which version do you tried it. I have tested it with P3D 2013.

We are on P3D 2012. That may be why.

we have the SP1 and the off page connectors and also the iso pipe support hot fixes installed on our system. Is it hidden somewhere else.

This seems to be working in a way for me.

The line kind of reverses...the first sheet is now the last sheet, etc etc.

I have a water header that runs around 3 sides of a plant.

Plant splits it into 9 ISO sheets...each sheet is ok for amount of clutter/detail.

The first time i droped the ISO's, it started sheet 1 at the end of the line.

Next I picked the reverse option and dropped isos again...it started sheet 1 at the start of the line this time...as expected. aok

However, as I go through the sheets, the ISO jumps around with sheet order.

The sheets go together like this.

1-2-3-4-7-6-5-8-9 (1 being start of piperun and 9 being the end of the pipe)

Why would it not move along the pipe line with the sheet numbers?

This is very poor output to give to designers/fabricators.
