Iso ignores drawing area

When I create a new ISO the line is drawn at a scale 1 on 1.

Checked my ISO template and drawing area is correct.

I've made a lot of Iso during the day and suddenly changed to this ( See attachment)

Kind regards

Does it happen with every ISO-style ?

I have had this same thing happen on a few isos.  Curious to find out what the issue is.

What I've found is that if the line is a branch from another, breaking the connectivity seemed to "fix" it.  Of couse doing this breaks the continuity.  One thing to try on yours is to delete the pipe segment between the elbow and the continued tee, then re-run a test iso.

Sometimes, remodeling the line fixes it.

Check that line number isn't being used across other items in the model. Eg, there might be a weld dot with the same line number, or a rogue item. You can check by filtering out the layer (if you're using line number for layer) and seeing where the items on that line number are.

If you zoom in to the supplied iso, there is a huge gap between the flanges and the valve.

Can you upload the model here please?

Tried all the above things

*isolate the line layer (Looked for weld dots outside the line)

*Deleting the line and redraw it

Non of these where any successful.

Changed the linenumber in P&ID and draw the line again with the new number and it came out fine.

Tomislav I'm not able to post my model to the internet due to confidentiality policies.

Kind regards,

We too have run in to this issue a few times.  A fix we came to in house, was to delete and redraw as many components as necessary until the Iso Plots clean.

Is this a 2014 issue?  I didn't have this problem with 2013.

This is a 2014 problem.

Never had this problem in the previous version.

I really regret that I made the Upgrade from 2013

And it keeps happening. Created an Iso, came out fine. Placed a new valve in that same line created an Iso and again scale 1:1

Try changing the weld dot on the branch of the tee to the other line number.  This is how I fixed it on mine.  Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

Otherwise, as previously sugested, remove the weld dot at the branch and manually fix the "Cont on..."

I had raised the same issue in other topic 'critical issue facing in isometric'. Waiting for solution from development team for more than a month. Same issue still there in 2015 beta also. If solution not received, then we are planning to switch back to 2d. All my efforts will go vain

Dear Dave/Peter, Request your views on the above subject and provide some workaround, facing critical issue in isometric is frustrating.

We had a problem like this in 2014 that was fixed in Ext 1. Can you confirm which version you're using?

Is your pipe created by polyline?  If so try a re-route and don't use polylines.  For some reason we've found that routing by polyline and/or using custom parts with PLANTPARTCONVERT caused all sorts of crazy mayhem on the isos; such as going 1:1 really huge outside the border or displaying a straight tee as rolled, drawing lines over each other.

Please contact product support. It will be helpful to get your PCF file and probably your iso setup.

We are using Plant 3D 2014, and came across this problem today. Modeling a header with several lines coming off of it ending with valves,

The header has one line number and the lines coming of the header each have a different line number, each line is connected to header with a reducing tee.

1) When i do a quick iso on each line coming off the header I have no problems. ( 1 iso generated )

2) When i do a production iso of the same line (by number) i get this error. (large dis-conjointed iso out of borders )

3) If i remove pipe connecting to tee I have no problem with production iso ( 1 iso generated )

4) If i just disconect pipe from tee i get normal isos ( but get two of them randomly broke )

5) The header pipe line isos with no problems every time using production iso

I was working in a model we did a "Save as" for while a fellow worker was in the original working on another part of the model, when i discovered this iso problem, he tried same iso procedure and had no problems with production iso

I think the "Save as" copy i was working in was the problem ?
