ISO BOM annotations; enclosure type "rectangle" is fixed for drain/vents

Greeetings

In Project Set up, Isometric Annotations, i've set up the BOM annotations - enclosure type on "Circle", but when iso is created, drains and vents BOM annotations are in "rectangle". See attached .jpg

I would like all annotations in circle, i don't understand why it happens. I'm in 2015 version.

Thanks in advance

I just tested this with AutoCAD Plant 3D 2015 - Extension 1 and all set all the callout symbols to circle. When my iso was generated all the symbol call outs showed as circles.

Do you have Extension 1 installed? If you have subscription service you can log in through the Autodesk Subscription site. Here you will find the AutoCAD Plant 3D 2015 Extension 1 that you can download. Once it is installed try running the Iso again and see if that fixes the issue for you.

Had you tried extracting small bore lines? if all of the items extracted in rectangles then it is indeed the smallbore/vent/drain setup in isoconfig.xml

So what is the fix for the rectangles coming in on drains? I'm having this issue also with plant3d 2014. Everything else runs with circles.

We have been told that it has been fixed in 2015.... we are still using 2014 and the workaround suggested by our reseller is:

Select all rectangles, BLOCKREPLACE, select the block(s) to be replaced, purge (y), select block to replace

rectangles, pick circle, Enter.

Can someone explain to me why this PROBLEM still exist. We have upgraded to Plant 3D 2016 and this continues to be a problem getting squares instead of circles on isometrics!

This is still happening in 2017.

When selecting a circle enclosure type under "Annotations" in the Iso Settings under Project Setup I would expect all of the BOM components to have circular enclosures yet this seems like another "function" that has to be modified in the xml file.

What is the purpose of the Project Setup within Plant 3D if most of the configuring has to be done within an XML file? It seems like every time I want to customize my ISO style it has to be done within the XML file.

The Isometric DWG Settings menu should basically just be a GUI for the XML file yet it's missing 80% of everything that can be configured it seems.
