Insulation Representation by line number.

Hello,

I have recently had a request to show pipe insulation by line number. Currently P3D will toggle the insulation for the whole drawing on or off. I was just curious if anyone out there has found a good solution around this, and wouldn't mind sharing. I am open to idea outside the box as well. I was thinking of maybe using an AutoCAD solid, but that isn't a very efficient workaround.
