i have no idea how to get an elevation of a pipe once it is drawn
i already tried to selecte it go into its properties and try to see if there is an elevation data but there is none
so need help guys
thanks
Pick the pipe and there is a grip that looks like a triangle (it'll be above the pipe, not under/beside it) and this, when picked, will let you change the elevation (TOP, COP and BOP). From there you can see what the EL is at.
i tried what u asked
but the trinagle which is above is to change part
the triangle which is below it is to change elevation but it will start from 0 then you add how much u wanna bring up or down
but the only way i found as i show it in the pic attached it is to click on the middle blue square and see what is the coordinate in the buttom left of autocad window
btw i am using autocad plant 3d 2013
Hi there
I know this reply is 3 years overdue, but at least now a solution is shown.
Switch on Dynamic Input (F12)
That's right, but if it still does not appear set the Drafting settings menu (CTRl+shift+p), tab Dynamic input, Enable dimension input where possible marker to ON. it should be working OK now, when you select a pipe.
