how to change CONNECTION-REFERENCE format P3D2013

Hi

I didn't find how to change CONNECTION-REFERENCE format in P3D2013.

(I'm working in isoconfig.xml )

On isometric, at the end of the line connected to an equipment , the reférence of  Tag of equipment + the equipment nozzle tag + lb of the nozzle are concatened.

If I want just the equipment tag and the ND of the equipment nozzle how to configure the format ?

Thank

Hi,

Unfortunately the CONNECTION-REFERENCE attribute is hardcoded and cannot be changed.

I will log a wish with our developers for the ability to edit this connection text.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Sam,

Another approach to get the result you need could be:

  • Open the ISO annotation node in Project setup and place the text shown in the screen shot to the Connected equipment  nozzles connection.

ConnectedTo.png

  • Second, open ISOCONFIG.xml to remove “\P\P”(to remove the extra line break)

EndConnectionScheme Name="EndConnectionsEquipment" AnnotationStyle="Standard" Format="CONNECTED TO\P\P\P{0}\P{1}" LeaderStyle="AlwaysCorner" Filter="EndConnectionsEquipment" Fields="CONNECTION-REFERENCE CO-ORDS" />

  • The final result looks as below which contains only Equipment Tag and Nozzle size.

ConnectedToIsoResult.png

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Dan

Does this also work on line continuations or only on continuations to equipment?

It does both just select the matching annotation in the dialog.

It still isn't working for me. Perhaps I don't have the correct annotation properties. I can't find them documented anywhere and obviously I'm not a very good guesser. I've also found that this is maybe a known issue with Autodesk and version 14 may fix it?

It's actually not possible to set this up in the isoconfig.xml. You need to use the project setup dialog.

The available properties and formatting are available here:

http://docs.autodesk.com/PLNT3D/2013/ENU/filesPCR/GUID-E5AB172A-9696-455F-B698-252CEA84CC07.htm

per Dan's answer above.
