How to add new end type??

Hi, I'm June.

How to add new end type in the Spec Editor??

I already add PE type in the Plant3D. But I can't see the End type list in the Catalog builder.

I don't know workflow.

I was checked another discussion message about the Plantendcodes. But I don't understand...

I want to add the PE end type or New type.

Please, give me the workflow... more detail explanation.

1. PLANTENDCODES, Add, enter an Endcode name and Description and save

2. Go to Project Setup (Project Properties) / Plant 3D DWG Settings / Piping Connection Settings.

3. Simple joints, Add, enter the requested information (for your new end type). (For Property matches, for example, “Nominal Diameter” may be a required match.)

4. Compound joint, Add (as needed for your new end type) enter settings for Ends and Connection Component.

5. Apply, OK, and test with your parts/pipe in the model.

(If this answers your question, please mark it as an Accepted Solution.)

In the Catalog you won't see the endcode you're looking for. However, you can just type "PE" and it will still allow you to create the object with a PE endcode.

Keep in mind if you use the symbol filters, it will never see the ones you are looking for! I had  to make countless GRV endcode objects, I would start with a BV object and a simple symbol, then change the symbol to what I want and change the endcode to PE after the fact. That way I have all the options at my disposal.

Keep in mind the endcode must be part of the project joint settings as mentioned above. I assume you must also have the end code PLANTENDCODES setup to be the same as your machine, for other users. I believe PLANTENDCODES is installation/machine specific and not project wide.
