Hi,
I'm working with Glass-Lined Steel Systems, the pipe and fittings are completely different of the usual carbon steel. All connections are made by Flanges (Split Flanges) and stub-end is fabricated on the pipe and fittings, the dimensions are not standard. There are pre-standard pipe lengths etc etc.
That all is driving me to create a new Pipe Spec on Plant 3D.
Is there some material to help me with this job?
Check some pictures of the fittings.
Our Mainly reference is Pfaudler, and De Dietrich.

start modeling up the pipe fittings, each type for each size ( yes takes a while ) Then create blocks with each one. Once they are blocks type <plantpartconvert> then add in your connections.
once you have all that done, you need to break out the spec editor.
Open up any catalog - SAVE IT UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME - then delete everything in it - now you have a blank catalog to add your parts in it.
<Create New Component>
under <graphics>
tag <Custome - AutoCAD DWF Block based graphics>
fill in all the blanks for your part.
Make sure you have the <long description (size)> labled properly with what it is and the size.
that's the basics.
Thank you, JohnHolder,
That helps a lot.
If anyone has more information or some documents I would greatly appreciate it.
ha have had to create a lot of custom blocks. I just can't find the documentation I used to figure it out. Or I would have linked it.
