Fatal Error Creating New Project from Getting Started Screen

First off, Merry Christmas Eve!

I am encountering a fatal error (details of error below) when I click the "Create New Project" button under the Getting Started section on the Create Tab of the welcome screen. When I first encountered this issue yesterday afternoon, I attempted to use the Project Manager toolbar/flyout/palette to create the new project instead.  When I clicked the "New Project" link using the drop down box that lists the current and recent projects nothing was happening and the mouse was in the 'busy' mode. I waited a few minutes before ending the task through the task manager and restarting the computer. This happened again on the next attempt as well. However, this morning, clicking the "New Project" link in the drop down menu worked and I was able to create the project and begin working on it, so no more downtime! I am still encountering the fatal error whenever I click the "Create New Project" button from the getting started screen though and wanted to report the issue as an early Christmas present to the support team. 🙂

Nvidia GPU

Windows 8.1 64 Bit
