Editing BOM in Plant3D Isometrics

How do I change the text color in the BOM in my Plant3D 2012 Isometric setup?  It is currently 0,255,255.  I've tried changing the Table Style text color and nothing changes.

Edit the cell, unlock it and change the color in the Properties

Thanks for the reply, I just found the solution in an older post also.

Use a crossing window to select all cells, then go to properties, and select color. You will have to do this on every iso.

I haven't been able to change color in iso setup without losing the formula req'd.

Hi, isn't there an easier way to change this in the iso set up for not having to do it in every drawing ?

also when I plot the drawing I can control all the colors with the plot style table but not the BOM txt, even with monochrome it stays with 0,255,255

Thanks

Edit the table style in the bom isometric setup and change the data text color to by layer.

Please show step by step on how to change the font color on the data cells, I am having quite difficulty in doing this.

Thanks.

I think I all got it messed up when changing the text color by layer by selecting the words and changing it on the text editor which is not right as shown below.

What I have found out correct way is to select the entire cell row then unlocked it, then change the color on the properties (Ctrl+1), on the Content area, change the text color 🙂 and it works,

Hi Dave,

I know this post is veeeeery old, but busy with setups in P3D 2013 and cannot get my "color" template to print in B&W?

I have tried everything!

Please help!

Hi!

You can solve the problem by unlocking the cells, Mark the cells and click on cell_locking and tick in unlocked:

Like this.

Unlocking cell.JPG

After that right click and click on properties and change text color to e.g white like this:

change text color.JPG

After this you once again tick in the Content and Format locked in the ribbon / Cell Locking icon.

Then click Return to Project Setup and click Save changes to "iso.dwt" when that message comes up

Hope it helps

/Stefan

Hi trs-iea

I also had this problem, to fix it is simple, just re-define your BOM table and then change the color settings as explained, then lock all cells again and save the template. It worked for me.

Cheers,

I know this is an old thread but this has got me frustrated.

Using P3D 2017, I simply cannot unlock the cell to change the font color?

Command tableedit can get me into the headings and title but not the data cells?

I am comfortable with tables and editing them in AutoCAD no problems, except this one, I simply cannot unlock the data cells!

Are they permanently locked and controlled through project manager now?

Ok, found the details":

Go to Project setup

Isometric DWG Settings

Title Block and Display

Setup Title Block

Click on BoM Table

Click on Gray area around table at top left

Right click grey square

Locking -> Unlocked

Right click grey square

Properties -> Text Color change to prefered colour

Save changes....

I was stumped on the red step. This has been left out in so many forum postings to the frustration of users.

My problems weren't over then. Once I locked the cells again they no longer fill out when generating an Iso, so I left them unlocked and it worked.
