Can i edit a spec created in plant 3d 2012? We are using plant 3d 2014

We have a client supplied pipe spec and i need to add a flange to it and get and error (see attached screen shot

I was getting this error too. The long descriptions didn't have styles set up for them. Try picking one of the default styles and see if that helps.

thanks, that worked in getting flange into spec.

.......But now i cannot see that added flange in the tool palette so i can place in my model

Make sure the spec you edited is in the project spec sheets folder.

I don't use the tool palette because it takes too long to load our specs from the network. Try looking in your spec viewer and see if its there. If you do want the tool palette, make sure your plantdynamictoolpalette is set to enable.
