I produce my production iso's with the help of an excel sheet (linelist) The sheet contains all the data including the drawing name. The iso has the filename as following: linenumber tag - sheetnumber. I want to set the dwg name as following: It has to read from de drawing name attribute in the titleblock (or from excel) then the sheetnumber then a revision and date. So it looks like: 1234-3-ISD-001-01-R0.0-2014-03-20.dwg
1234 (projectnumber)
-3 (Areacode)
-ISD (document code)
-001 (drawing number)
-01 (sheet number)
-R0.0 (revision)
-2014-03-20 (date).dwg
Is it possible to read the drawing and sheet number out the attributes and put them in the filename? Or make a script to set this afterwards?
If you are currently pulling all your information from an excel sheet I would just compile your information from there. It really depends where you are inputing all the information. Are you are inputing all the information in your Plant project? This link might help with what you try to accomplish.
If you can please share a more detailed workflow of what you are currently doing and I will be more than happy to continue to look into this for you.
