Adding new custom supports to the Catalog and Spec

I have been developing new Aux Steel supports using Python scripts.  I am able to generate the 3D object, insert at 0,0,0 an then convert to a support using the PLANTPIPESUPPORTCONVERT command.  I have tried to add these to the Support Catalog so that I can add them to the Support Spec and it will not take the new item or ANY existing default Plant Support for that matter.

Please advise as to how to import these custom items into the Supports catalog.
