Using the same tag on multiple drawing

I have a tank that is tagged and I want to use that tank on multiple drawings because it has several services going to it (ie. bilge, ballast, vents and sounds). It is not an option to put the tank and all the services going to that tank on one page.

So is it possible to use the same tank with a tag on multiple drawings?

Thanks

The short answer is yes.

Normally AutoCAD P&ID wob't accept double tag numbers, if however you have both drawings open P&ID then assumes you have a reason to double tag. P&ID will pop-up 'Tag already Assigbed' then asks you what to do, you can either enter a different tag number or assign this tag which is already in use. The double tag numbers will then be linked and P&ID should recognise them as being the same piece of equipment.
