Page connectors

Have an issue when both on/off page connectors are placed and joined correctly, the addition of say a spec break on one drawing will completley wipe EVERY piece of line work on the connecting drawing. And by every piece of linework I mean nothing is left, even the border/title block is erased.

Seems to be the same story even just using the normal Autocad break command which will invoke a warning box stating that the action will cause changes to the corresponding drawing (breaking a line?!?!)

Also, why can't the on/off page connectors be facilitated so on a connecting drawing the line can be continued without having to draw it again which is incredibly couterproductive?
